Wisconsin Vein Center & MediSpa offers advanced Microneedling treatments, an excellent option for rejuvenating and refreshing the skin by jumpstarting your skin’s natural collagen production. During treatment, the microneedling handpiece creates many micro channels in the skin, causing the skin to create new, healthy cells. Microneedling can effectively address many different skin concerns, including acne scars, pigmentation, and aging signs.  Add on PRF or Exosomes for even better results!

More About Microneedling in Greater Milwaukee

For many of our patients, we recommend adding PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) or Exosomes for an additional cost and greater results. PRF treatments entails drawing blood from the patient like a standard blood draw at the doctor’s office. This blood sample is then placed into a centrifuge which separates the plasma from the red and white blood cells. Fibrins contains a high concentration of stem cells, platelets, and growth factors to help stimulate collagen and elastin production for youthful-looking skin.  Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring messengers that help skin cells communicate and repair themselves, boosting healing and rejuvenation from the inside out.  The addition of PRF or Exosomes will boost your microneedling treatment and speed up the healing process. Your clinician can help you determine which option would be best for your skin care goals.

Microneedling can be used virtually anywhere on the body

Does micro needling grow hair?

Specific depths of microneedling have been shown to stimulate the hair follicles and assist in hair growth.

Am I a candidate?

All skin types can benefit from microneedling, making it an excellent way to regularly boost your skin’s ability to absorb products and active ingredients. Microneedling is a great alternative to invasive procedures for effective rejuvenation. Microneedling can be used regularly as a series of treatments to maintain your results and healthy skin. It can also be paired with other facial treatments such as the HydraFacial or Dermaplaning.

What is a Vampire Facial?

The Vampire Facial is an extremely popular skincare treatment that uses the microneedling technique, or collagen induction therapy (CIT). However, the vampire facial also introduces PRP, or platelet-rich plasma, to help further boost cellular regeneration and turnover. PRP is derived from your own blood sample which is spun down to separate the plasma from the red and white cells. This plasma is rich in growth factors and doesn't come with the risk of reaction or side effects like some products do. Talk to your clinician if you are interested in adding PRP to your microneedling treatment.

Can I wear makeup after Microneedling?

Yes however we recommend holding off until 24 hours post treatment as our FDA approved microneedling device creates tiny micro-channels in the skins surface that can stay open for 24 hours.

Can Microneedling be done under eyes?

Yes

Do you peel after Microneedling?

Most people do around day 3-4 after a treatment. This is short lived, lasting a couple of days.

Do you put serum on before or after Microneedling?

We recommend hyaluronic acid serum during and after microneedling.

Does Microneedling help forehead wrinkles?

Yes. Microneedling assists in wrinkle correction by stimulating collagen production. This can help to strengthen and smooth the skin, while naturally correcting fine lines and wrinkles.

What should I put on my skin after microneedling?

Microneedling works best when active ingredients are introduced into the treated skin to specifically address your concerns. This is because your skin can absorb them much more effectively through the micro-channels. After treatment, you should be sure to discuss your regular skincare regimen with your clinician to avoid any products that may be too harsh or drying. Home care is extremely important when it comes to maintaining your results. Your clinician can recommend the right products to use for your skin's recovery period like Alastin Skin Nectar. Alastin Restorative Skin Complex is another great product to use to clean out your extracellular matrix while nourishing your newly produces collagen and elastin.

Can you wear makeup after Microneedling?

How long does your face stay red after Microneedling?

Typically you will look red or sunburned for 24 hours and then a light pink the following day. Peeling may occur by day 3 or 4 and in most cases by day 5 the face has completely healed.

When will I see results?

You can begin to see improvement in your skin around one week after your first procedure. Best results with Microneedling usually appear after a series of three treatments spaced about thirty days apart, depending on your unique concerns and skincare goals. The skin texture will appear smoother, rejuvenated, and brightened. You can receive additional Microneedling treatments to maintain your results and keep your skin clear and healthy.

At what age should I start microneedling?

Everyone ages differently, so there's no magic age at which you should start getting treatments. However, there are some benefits to starting treatment once you begin to notice signs of aging. As you age, your body's rejuvenating systems begin to slow down due to free radical damage that occurs inside and outside of the body. This means your body becomes less effective at restoring collagen to keep your skin lifted and youthful. Undergoing regular microneedling treatments can help your skin remain firm and healthy as you age, as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Also maintaining an active, healthy lifestyle will incur positive changes in your skin.

Are Microneedling results permanent?

Yes, it is your own collagen that is being stimulated and produced. However this treatment, as all others, do not stop the aging process and so your body will continue to degrade collagen as you age.

Can I use hyaluronic acid after Microneedling?

Yes. We either use medical grade Hyaluronic Acid or Platelet Rich Plasma both during and after microneedling treatments for additional stimulation of collagen production.

Does your face bleed after Microneedling?

There may be pinpoint bleeding if the treatment is more aggressive which is often the case in treatment of scarring. This endpoint promotes healing and collagen production.

Can I try microneedling at home?

It's likely that you've seen at-home microneedling devices like dermarollers online or on social media. Although it can be tempting to try and achieve great results at home, it's not well understood how effective these devices can be compared to professional treatments. It's important to keep in mind that professional treatments come with a higher degree of safety and effectiveness versus at-home products and devices where you can't entirely verify their authenticity and that you can risk infection or damage your skin. If you want to try dermarolling at home, be sure to speak with your clinician first.
