Three of The Best Treatments to Keep Your Skin Healthy in the Summer

After a few months of lounging in the summer sun, your skin might be showing the effects of the UV radiation it was exposed to by the sun. Too much sun exposure speeds up the aging process and is a leading cause of many skin conditions like pigmentation, dark spots, wrinkles, and sagging skin. If your skin needs a refresh to restore a youthful glow, check out these three amazing skin treatments we offer at Wisconsin Vein Center & Medispa.

CHEMICAL PEEL

chemical peel uses an acid base to “peel” away the top layers of dead skin and reveal the underlayer of new skin with a brighter tone and smoother texture. We offer a variety of chemical peels with chemical solutions that range from mild to aggressive to treat all skin concerns. The stronger the peel, the deeper into the skin it will be absorbed, which is helpful for more severe cases of damaged skin. Chemical peels treat everything from acne and wrinkles to irregular pigmentation and skin spots caused by skin exposure.

MICRONEEDLING

Microneedling might sound a bit intimidating, but it is a safe and effective treatment that immediately rejuvenates your skin. Multiple microneedling technologies are available including Genius RF, SkinPen, Agnes RF, and Scarlet SRF microneedling. Each microneedling procedure will improve skin tone and texture by targeting acne, enlarged pores, wrinkles, and other skin conditions. When combined with RF (radiofrequency energy), microneedling can also tighten and tone the skin. RF needles heat the deep layers of the skin and stimulate collagen production to give your skin more structure and volume. The SkinPen also stimulates collagen production by creating narrow channels in the skin. The SkinPen and Genius RF can also be combined with PRP or PRF treatment for even greater results.

INTENSE PULSED LIGHT (IPL)

IPL Facial Milwaukee can heal your skin from sun exposure and treat resulting sun-related issues such as wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, scarring, facial redness, and sagging skin. IPL directs light energy deep into pigmented areas of the skin and this energy generates heat that damages the pigmented cells. We use an advanced form of IPL that penetrates the skin at the deepest levels for an added skin tightening that will redefine and contour the treated area.  This treatment is best done AFTER the summer months, so now is the time to schedule your fall AFT or BBL Hero treatment.
