Skin Care At Every Age: Forties

During this time, existing lines and wrinkles deepen and spread. Lines from the corners of the mouth or radiating from the upper lip extend toward the chin. The skin around the neck and jawline will loosen and begin to sag, starting the “jowl” look. The face will also begin losing volume, particularly around the temple and cheek areas.

The eyebrows tend to fall slightly and eyelids droop, causing a tired look. For this age group, the same treatments used for the 30’s are employed in conjunction with laser treatments, body contouring and skin tightening.

Wrinkle Care With Botox

Wisconsin Vein Center & MediSpa is a Botox® Platinum-Plus Provider, which makes us uniquely equipped to provide you with the outstanding results you deserve.

Lines and wrinkles appear on the face as a result of muscle movement, sun exposure, and aging. For example, constant frowning can cause lines on the forehead and between brows to become deeper and more defined. But with one 10-minute treatment—a few tiny injections—within days there’s a noticeable improvement. The injections to the contracting muscles temporarily cause the muscle tissue to relax. The relaxation of those muscles causes wrinkles to miraculously disappear and can last up to 4 months.

Allergan, the maker of Botox, awards Platinum-Plus Provider status to a select group of physicians who use their products. In order to become a Platinum-Plus Provider, a physician must perform a certain number of Botox injections.  Platinum-Plus Provider status is one of the highest levels of recognition given by Allergan.

Wisconsin Vein Center & MediSpa has been at this level for years. This means that we have accumulated a great deal of experience using this product.  Because so many men and women have chosen us for treatment, we have been able to refine and perfect our injection techniques.

Body Contouring

Non-invasive, fat-reducing body contouring treatments are immensely popular options for an effective change in overall body shape. Systems such as CoolSculpting, and Vanquish deliver precisely controlled thermal and radio frequency (RF) energy to target and eliminate fat cells in specific areas of your body, improving the appearance of areas like the midsection, thighs, buttocks, arms and face, which can otherwise be difficult to change with diet and exercise.

  • Laser Treatments & Photofacials With laser-assisted skin resurfacing and AFT Intense Pulsed Light treatments, we can minimize or eliminate sun damage. Laser resurfacing with a CO2 laser is ideal for adults with mild to moderate periobital wrinkles, age spots and skin discoloration. It is also designed to soften or remove fine lines and wrinkles to enhance the overall look of your skin. AFT Intense Pulsed Light treatments use pulsating light to penetrate skin and even skin tone. AFT Intense Pulsed Light treatments are effective and fast – perfect for busy schedules.
  • Chemical Peels Chemical peels are one of the oldest cosmetic procedures performed in the world. There are various types of chemical peels that can aid in skin rejuvenation. We offer a variety of chemical peels of different strengths to help reduce the signs of aging, sun damage and blemishes, and restore the natural beauty of your skin! Chemical peels remove a layer of skin with a chemical preparation allowing the skin to grow back smoother than before and with reduced imperfections, leaving you with a younger, fresher appearance.

Varicose Vein & Spider Vein Treatment

Varicose veins are twisted, enlarged veins, often dark blue in color, near or raised above the surface of the skin. The first step in any varicose vein treatment program requires a mapping procedure with an ultrasound machine. Once the ultrasound has been complete, Dr. Manjoney will recommend the most effective treatment for you.

Spider veins are red and purple blood vessels that occur in patches on the legs and face. Spider veins and varicose veins are not the same and one does not necessarily lead to the other. Wisconsin Vein Center & MediSpa offers a laser therapy treatment for fast, effective reduction in the appearance of spider veins.
