Where Can Daxxify be Injected?

Daxxify is the newest FDA-approved botulinum toxin injectable and we are loving the exceptional results it provides to our patients. Read on to learn more about how Daxxify is used and how you can benefit.

What is Daxxify?

Daxxify is the newest neuromodulator (botulinum toxin injectable) that is quickly gaining popularity for its long-lasting results. Botulinum toxin temporarily relaxes the facial muscles so that they cannot move and crease the skin. This prevents the formation of dynamic wrinkles caused by repeated facial movements. Unlike Botox and other neuromodulators, Daxxify is made with peptides that strengthen the botulinum toxin formula. More than half of Daxxify patients see improvements in their fine lines and wrinkles for up to six months.

Who is a Candidate for Daxxify?

The best candidates for Daxxify are healthy adults bothered by fine lines and wrinkles. Patients should have no allergies to botulinum toxin or lactose and should not be currently pregnant or breastfeeding. Please inform your provider if you have heart disease, breathing problems, or neuromuscular disorders.

What to Expect During Daxxify Treatment

Daxxify treatment starts with a consultation at our office. After determining that you are a good candidate, your treatment goals will be discussed to develop a customized treatment plan. Your Daxxify appointment will scheduled about 20-30 minutes to administer at our MediSpa. Although you might feel a tiny prick from the needle, the injections are relatively painless.

Daxxify injections require no downtime so patients can immediately return to work or their daily activities. However, strenuous exercise should be avoided for 1-2 days since mild swelling and bruising are common side effects. These symptoms can be alleviated with cold compresses and anti-inflammatory medication.

How Is Daxxify Used?

Daxxify can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles on many areas of the face. If you have any of the following concerns, Daxxify might be a great treatment option for you.

Frown Lines

Frown lines, also known as glabellar lines or “11 lines,” are vertical creases that form between the eyebrows. These wrinkles are formed by frowning, squinting, and other facial expressions and they can gradually deepen over time.

Horizontal Forehead Lines

Horizontal forehead lines are another type of wrinkle caused by frowning, raising your eyebrows, and other expressions. They are one of the first signs of aging but are easily treatable with Daxxify.

Bunny Lines

Bunny lines are tiny creases that develop on the sides of the nose. By injecting Daxxify into the bridge of the nose and on the sides, these fine lines can be smoothed.

Droopy Eyebrows

As the skin ages and loses laxity, the eyebrows start to droop which can make the eye area look more narrow. Daxxify injections under the eyebrows will relax the muscle, lifting it back up to rejuvenate a more youthful appearance.

Crow’s Feet

Crow’s feet are tiny lines at the corners of the eyes and they develop from repeated squinting and smiling. The term “crow’s feet” is used because these wrinkles typically form as three fine lines on both eyes.

Lip Lines

Lipstick lines or smoker’s lines on the lips and perioral lines around the mouth can all be treated with Daxxify. Wrinkles at the corners of the mouth (marionette lines) and downturned corners of the mouth can also be improved with Daxxify treatments.

Chin Wrinkles

Wrinkling and fine lines develop everywhere, including the chin. A few Daxxify injections into the chin and along the jawline will smooth the skin, creating a tighter and more youthful appearance.
